Before our trainees left for Japan, NAVIS had a virtual meeting with Mr. Chawla, the Ministry of External Affairs of India and the Embassy of Japan in India.

Mr. Chawla has been contributing to the Indo-Japan partnership for several years. He told us that working in Japan is a lot of fun, but that we should keep learning even after we go to Japan, because it will make one’s life in Japan more meaningful.

He showed his concern by informing us that SOPs are very important in Japan and that we should go back and check them if we are not sure about anything.

Even though the meeting was virtual, every word he spoke was so compassionate and thoughtful it left a sense of empathy in our hearts. He also spoke words of wisdom with full clarity, which had our trainees inspired by his sayings.

Adding to that, he also praised, with his words of encouragement, the quality of self-introduction by each trainee in Japanese.

NAVIS hopes both India and Japan will do well, and more enriching ventures in this area of learning will take place in 2021.

NAVIS would like to thank Mr. Chawla and Embassy of Japan in India in for being part of this optimistic beginning.
